Almost Home is an organization dedicated to rescuing stray and abandoned animals from Elk Grove Village, Addison, Schaumburg, Hoffman Estates, Palatine, Barrington, Barrington Hills, South Barrington, Inverness, Wood Dale and it's surrounding areas. They also save animals from high Kill Shelters throughout the state of Illinois and other states.
Volunteers should have experience with animals and be comfortable around them. Volunteers ust be 16 years of age or older.
Almost Home Starts and ends later than other sites:The bus leaves Schaumburg campus at 10:15 and will arrive back at 3:30.
There are three Almost Home locations for New Deal Service Days, with capacity for 16 volunteers at each location. If this location is full, you check for space at the other locations.
